From January to June 2021, China's oil-based needle coke imports totaled 65,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 349.34%. The main importing countries of China's oil-based needle coke in June 2021 are: the United Kingdom, the United States, and Japan.

Coal-based needle coke imports were 5,300 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 37.56% and a year-on-year decrease of 38.67%. From January to June 2021, China’s coal-based needle coke imports totaled 65,800 tons, an increase of 29.88% year-on-year, June 2021 The main importing countries of China's coal series needle coke are South Korea and Japan.
